With a workforce of over 1,000 employees across multiple sites, they play a critical role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families.
As part of their ongoing commitment to safety and continuous improvement, they are seeking a Group Work Health & Safety Manager to lead and uplift their WHS function.
About The Role:
Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will take ownership of the organisation’s WHS strategy, framework, and systems, ensuring a best practice approach to safety across all operations.
You will operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, partnering closely with leaders across the business to embed a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of the organisation-wide WHS framework
- Providing expert WHS advice and coaching to Executive and operational leaders
- Designing and maintaining WHS systems, policies, and procedures
- Conducting audits, inspections, and ensuring compliance across multiple sites
- Leading incident investigations and driving corrective actions
- Identifying key risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Supporting WHS committees and governance reporting
- Developing and delivering WHS training and education programs
About You:
This is a senior role requiring a balance of strategic thinking and operational delivery. You will be confident working across a complex, multi-site environment and able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
You will bring:
- Significant experience in a WHS leadership role, ideally in a stand alone capacity
- Proven ability to design and implement WHS systems and drive cultural change
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- A hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to “roll up your sleeves”
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety
