Acquainted Talent are proud to be partnering with a growing, national infrastructure and energy organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand.

With a strong presence across multiple sites and projects, they play a key role in delivering sustainable solutions across a diverse operational and construction environment.

As part of continued growth, increasing project scale, and expansion into new areas, they are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead and strengthen their WHS function across the business. Based in either Brisbane or Adelaide.

 About the Role
Reporting into the Group WHS Manager, this role will take ownership of the WHS team performance, and day to day operational safety.

This is a hands on leadership role, responsible for safety delivery, supporting a national workforce across operations, construction projects, and joint ventures.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading and mentoring a small national WHS team
  • Providing practical, high-level WHS advice across operational and project environments
  • Partnering with leaders to embed safety, accountability, and proactive risk management
  • Overseeing incident investigations and promoting a strong learning culture
  • Managing audits, compliance, and assurance frameworks
  • Supporting construction and project safety, including contractor management and documentation review
  • Building capability through coaching, training, and stakeholder engagement

About You
This role requires a strong, hands on WHS leader who is comfortable operating across both operational and project based environments.

You will be a confident communicator who can influence at all levels, while also rolling up your sleeves to support day to day delivery.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in a WHS leadership role, ideally within energy, infrastructure, construction or similar high risk environments
  • Strong technical knowledge across WHS systems, legislation, and risk management
  • Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Exposure to construction or project environments, with strong contractor management experience
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to operate autonomously
  • Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety (ICAM / Lead Auditor highly regarded)
