About the company
Our client are a leading financial services provider with a global presence. They are headquartered in Melbourne’s CBD and with growth on the horizon they have a need for an Injury Management Advisor / OHS Coordinator to join the team for a 12 month fixed term contract with a start in January.
About the role
Reporting to the National OHS Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading and implementing strategic injury management, return-to-work, and workers’ compensation initiatives that align with the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Plan, while also contributing to broader health and safety programs to proactively reduce key risks.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and monitoring return to work plans in consultation with all stakeholders
- Managing workers’ compensation claims to ensure timely, compliant, and effective outcomes.
- Guiding and supporting the business to increase capability in management of all workplace injuries
- Managing HSW hazards and incidents through daily monitoring of HSW database and follow up of individual cases
- Conducting formal incident investigations
- Reviewing employee ergonomic self-assessment checklists and implementing corrective actions in consultation with the business managers
- Guiding and supporting the business to increase capability in management of all workplace injuries
- Providing subject matter expertise, coaching and education across the business for all matters health and safety, in line with the HSW strategy
- Assisting in the promotion of health safety and wellbeing initiatives, aligned to the Group Wellbeing Plan
About you
This is an opportunity for someone who has been working in injury management, workers comp or claims management side and wants to make a move into a dedicated OHS role. You will understand how to effective deliver RTW plans & manage claims, yet still have the capacity to work proactively and deliver on HSW programs. You will be engaging, switched on and have the ability to work independently.
