About the company

This company are an essential community services organisation, who provide high level of care for our community. Due to growth they are seeking an Injury Management Advisor to join the team and play a key role in partnering with their sites and stakeholder group within their South East Region.

About the role

As an Injury Management Advisor you will play a pivotal role in supporting staff and managers in managing workplace injuries. You will liaise closely with staff and managers, providing a strong emphasis on early intervention, support and ensuring the early return to work of injured employees.

  • Act as a consultant and resource with regard to injury management and Return to Work matters
  • Proactive case management including educating and improving employer awareness of injury management and return to work processes
  • Educating and negotiating with medical treaters and clinicians in relation to return to work processes and supported return to work arrangements
  • Assist managers in identifying suitable return to work outcomes and assist in developing Return to Work plans
  • Assist in policy and procedure development to ensure personal and organisational RTW / safety performance is paramount
  • Maintain a positive relationship with the authorised Work Cover Claims Agent and attend conciliation conferences when necessary

About you
This role will liaise closely with stakeholders and has a strong focus on providing coaching and using influencing skills to implement strategic interventions. Your people and customer service skills are imperative. For this role it is important you have Injury Management, RTW or Workers comp experiencing within an employer setting and have the ability to work on a claim from end to end.
