Acquainted Talent are proud to be partnering with one of Melbourne’s largest metropolitan public health services as they seek WHS Business Partner to join their growing team.  As part of a wider commitment to the safety of their organisation they are going through a significant transformation project and bolstering their WHS team.

About The Role:
As a WHS Business Partner, you will manage your own dedicated portfolio of stakeholders and provide expert advice and support boots on ground operational WHS support.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders to provide coaching and support on WHS matters.
  • Conducting inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Supporting WHS Committees and representing the WHS, Emergency Management, and Wellbeing Unit.
  • Developing, implementing, and refining WHS programs and initiatives.
  • Managing investigations of workplace incidents and implementing corrective actions.
  • Identifying training needs and developing tailored WHS educational programs.

About You:
This role will liaise closely with stakeholders and has a strong focus on working with the operations teams across. As such, you will be a strong communicator who is able to work autonomously to plan and prioritise their work, has a strategic mindset, as well as work collaboratively with the wider Safety and Wellbeing team. Technically you will have at least 2 years of experience in Workplace Health and Safety role and In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
