Health & Safety Advisor – Renewable Energy
Melbourne | Hybrid Working | $135k–$165k package + 15% bonus
Acquainted Talent is partnering with a growing business in the renewable energy sector to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to join their Melbourne team.
This is a great opportunity for an H&S professional looking to take the next step in their career, working across renewable energy construction projects with plenty of scope to develop and grow.
The Opportunity
Working closely with project teams and contractors, you’ll provide practical health and safety support across the development and construction of renewable energy projects.
It’s a hands-on role with regular site visits, where you’ll play an important part in ensuring contractors are working safely, appropriate documentation and management plans are in place, and projects are meeting their H&S obligations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing practical H&S advice and support to project teams and contractors throughout construction activities.
Reviewing contractor safety management plans, risk assessments and supporting documentation.
Supporting contractor management and monitoring compliance with H&S requirements.
Conducting site inspections, audits and assisting with incident reporting and investigations.
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and project teams.
Identifying H&S risks and working collaboratively to implement practical improvements.
Supporting H&S requirements as projects progress through construction and delivery.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in health and safety who enjoys working closely with people on site and is keen to continue developing their career.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
A minimum of five years’ experience in a health and safety role.
Experience working in construction, projects or other high-risk operational environments.
Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, compliance requirements and safety management documentation.
Experience engaging with contractors and reviewing safety management plans.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence people at different levels.
A practical, proactive approach and a willingness to get involved on site.
Flexibility to travel interstate and undertake overnight site visits.
Experience in renewable energy would be beneficial but isn’t essential. We’re open to candidates from a range of industries who bring transferable skills and the right approach.
What’s on Offer
$135,000–$165,000 package including superannuation, plus a 15% bonus.
Hybrid working arrangements – three days in the office and two from home.
