The Opportunity
Acquainted Talent is partnering with a global leader in the transport & logistics sector, to recruit a Health & Safety Business Partner for one of their large distribution centres in Laverton.
This is a hands-on, operational role suited to someone who enjoys being out in the business, building relationships with frontline teams and working closely with leaders to improve safety performance.
You’ll join an established HSE team and report to a supportive, engaged manager who values a practical and collaborative approach to safety.
The Role
Working closely with the site’s operational leadership team, you’ll provide day-to-day HSE support while helping to strengthen safety practices, engagement and risk management across the operation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Partnering with operational leaders and frontline teams to promote safe working practices.
Providing practical advice and support on workplace health and safety matters.
Identifying and managing operational risks, including those associated with warehousing, mobile plant and transport activities.
Supporting incident investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions.
Conducting site inspections, audits and safety reviews.
Coaching and supporting leaders to build safety capability and accountability.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of broader HSE programs.
About You
We’re looking for an approachable and engaging safety professional who enjoys working in an operational environment and can build strong relationships at all levels.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
3 – 5 years experience in a health & safety role
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to influence operational leaders.
Practical experience in risk management, incident investigations and safety improvement initiatives.
The ability to balance compliance requirements with operational realities.
Experience in a blue collar environment
Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety.
This role is great for someone with a solid operational safety background, good judgement and a genuine ability to engage people.
